- This is not true, as I've argued before. For an external "dumb" modem,
- yes, but there are counterexamples that have a great deal of synergy
- between the OS and the modem DSP. Wether you think this is a good
- thing is another argument.

- My internal comes with no lights on the case, nor AT specifications
- in a manual, but they're available in the GUI. Which is where they
- belong in this case. The modem is dunamically programmable
- and software updates can then be reflected in the on line help.

- I have to agree here. The RPI that cam with my system had *zero*
- documentation. It's now waiting for the first skeet shoot in the
- spring ;-). Actually I've been offered $100 for it if I install it. The
- $100 isn't worth the agravation of the calls.
